The architects PNG are continuing this story, in continuity with both the landscape and the existing structures. Their project goes beyond simple renovation and reshapes the village itself: they have renovated and extended the town hall, built the school, the canteen, and the daycare center, and finally transformed the former hotel into housing. The project blends building culture and vernacular language within a contemporary approach: the monolithic brick wall refers to a simple technique derived from single-family housing, here placed in the service of collective architecture.Carefully crafted interior and exterior plasters, reused génoise eaves and canal tiles, restrained and meticulous detailing — the material tells the story, but it is the manner of making that defines the project.Sobriety, clarity of volumes, respect for what already exists, and public spaces reimagined as pathways and small squares all work together to bring life — and new life — to the village.
