This new waste sorting facility, built for the City of Paris, nestles beneath the Boulevard Périphérique, on the border between Paris and Pantin. In its own way, it contributes to the renewal of the former industrial fringe of northeast Paris, which has become an urban laboratory over the past thirty years. The sorting center is shielded from its surroundings by a white brick enclosure, with curved walls stretching 35 to 40 meters. The enclosure is designed to be both robust and light, responding to the surrounding infrastructure while maintaining a dialogue with passing pedestrians. Its façades feature white ceramic brickwork, with some bricks protruding in a staggered pattern to create subtle texture and visual interest.
